YOTA: YOUTH OF THE APOCALYPSE

YOTA: Youth of the Apocalypse unveiled their first single, 'Drop The Bomb' (ft. MF Doom) on 1st June via The Fader Label. Currently completing work on their debut mixtape, the compelling six-piece have built up a formidable live reputation with just a few shows, and have also now announced a series of headline dates for the summer including London's XOYO on June 13th.

Produced by James Ford, 'Drop The Bomb' is a world-colliding introduction to YOTA: Youth of the Apocalypse, featuring the legendary MF Doom. With Doom having collaborated with YOTA's Jeff Wootton on Gorillaz, the pair reconnected with writing partner Jamie Reynolds on 'Drop The Bomb', a track sung from the perspective of the helpless in a timely and subversive portrait of a threat that seems to have been looming over people's heads for decades ('the bomb').

'Drop The Bomb' is a strikingly ambitious first step from YOTA: Youth of the Apocalypse, a collective made up of J. Lazarus, Jamie Reynolds, Jeff Wootton, Jay Sharrock, Twiggy Garcia and Seye Adelekan. In their own words...

"YOTA is a Youth Movement, a Gang, a Radical, Fresh and Immediate Art form made of Music, Words, Fashion and the Freedom of Expression based on Having a Non-Conformist Attitude and Something to Say about The Times in Which We Live. Hard Times / Our Times. Founded on Frustration, Punk Ethics, A Love of Hip-Hop / Rap Culture, Alternative Culture, Graffiti and Guerrilla Tactics, YOTA will bring about Positive Change"
